What is Martial Arts? Martial Arts: 1. Warring Arts 2. The Art Of War

Due to movies and television, most people have a horrible misconception of the Martial Arts. They believe it to be an aggressive, brutal and extremely violent activity aimed at causing pain or even death to one's enemy. contrary to popular belief, the Martial Arts has very little to do with physical violence. The M.A. is a "Lifestyle". A lifestyle designed to ward-off negative situations that would ordinarily arise in a person's journey through life. Everyday we are at War literally with negative forces in our environment like: Arthritis, Diabetes, Stress, Hypertension, Respiratory diseases, High Blood Pressure, Heart disease, Osteoporosis, Psychological ailments and too many more to name!

Through "true" Martial Arts training students are taught the proper skills needed to battle and actually win against all those negative factors in society. It is of course a tall order, but one that is well worth it when you weigh the benefits of winning the battles and thus the war.

There are two distinctive levels of the Martial Arts, one being External and the other Internal. External M.A. is the most common form practiced in the west, because it is very visual and we are easily impressed by things we see. Internal, however is by far the most important because it is the basis for training the mind and spirit which in turn trains the body to follow. Without internal training, one would find it extremely difficult to focus, demonstrate will power and live in a righteous state. Internal Training is the basis for returning to the original state of harmony that was intended for all human beings to enjoy!
